James and Kriesthe

James and Kriesthe believe that we can do anything as long as we put God first, stick together, respect all things and help others in any way we can.  We love to spend time hanging out with each other and our family.  We enjoy the outdoors, sport games and movies.  Holidays are special and important in our family.  We spend 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years with our families.  These are great times that we cherish and make memories.  James has enjoyed dressing up and passing out candy for Halloween.  All the kids in the neighborhood come by our home for treats and laughs.

James has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Education.  He has a master’s degree from William Carey College in Education and the University of West Alabama in School Counseling.  He later obtain a Specialist degree in Education Administration.  He has worked in the school systems in Mississippi, Clayton and Henry County Georgia as a teacher, school counselor and now as a vice principal.  During his time as an educator he has received numerous awards such as Teacher of the year in both Mississippi and Georgia.

Kriesthe has a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Mississippi.  She has a master’s degree from William Carey College in Industrial Organizational Psychology as well as a master’s degree from the University of West Alabama in School counseling.  Kriesthe has worked in the school system for many years as well in both Mississippi and Georgia as a teacher and school counselor.  I’ve always enjoyed being a teacher and helping others.  When I was in high school, I taught piano lessons to local students and church members.  Today I enjoy being a school counselor in the Atlanta metro area.

We have been living in the Atlanta Metro area for over 15 years.  Our community is filled with top schools, safe and friendly parks, a welcoming church environment and loving friends and family.

James and I have always talked about adopting.  My uncle and aunt adopted a beautiful baby girl when I was 8.  She was welcomed and enjoyed in our growing family.  I watched them love and care for her and she did the same for them.  It was beautiful and I knew one day I would like to do the same thing.  Love is beautiful.

We will tell our child that God made them just for us.  We will explain to her that I didn’t birth her into the world but we will love and care for her all the days of her life.  We will protect her and provide a safe and loving home so that she can become whatever she wants to be in life.  We will teach her to love and respect herself as well as others.  We will let her know that she is loved by many.
